Children's Dentistry ToowoombaAt Apollonia House Dental, we welcome all ages of patients. Many dentists don’t see children. It takes a gentle hand to make sure that children can get the dental care they need. Dentist Dr Rob Sivertsen and his team are well-versed in making every child’s dental visits pleasant and enjoyable.

Dr Sivertsen has over 30 years of experience. Over time, he has seen numerous paediatric patients. He enjoys working with children and even has them referred to him from other dental practices. With a reputation for children’s dentistry, Apollonia House Dental is the perfect place to bring your whole family. Our entire staff has been trained in how to give children a positive experience every time they visit us.

Taking the Fear Out of Dentistry

Having your child feel comfortable with the dentist starts at home. It’s important that your child isn’t exposed to conversations that may make them apprehensive—for example, about needles at the dentist. Words like “pain” or “hurt” will create anxiety and fear.

Sometimes, well-meaning parents might say something to their child like, “Don’t worry; the dentist won’t hurt you.” It’s important to consider removing the negative words from what you’re saying so that the child doesn’t get the idea that the dentist might hurt them.

If your child requires it, we have laughing gas available for them.

The Child Dental Benefits Schedule

The Child Dental Benefits Schedule is a Medicare-funded scheme for eligible children. It covers up to $1000 in basic dental services every two years. Checkups, cleanings, fillings and extractions are some of the covered services. We bulk bill for The Child Dental Benefits Schedule.
